Stagecoach buses operating from the Lancaster depot have had smart enabled card readers since Sunday 10 June 2007.
Battersby Silver Grey Coaches have had smart enabled card readers since October 2008.
Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire Ltd. have had smart enabled card readers since October 2008.
The driver will record details of your card and give you a slip detailing the action you must take. You will be required to call the NoWcard Helpline with your card's details and the details of the bus operator, service and time your card failed. The Helpline will then request that a new card be issued to you by first class post which you should receive within 3 working days. You will be able to continue using your faulty card as a 'flash pass' together with the slip the driver gave you for 7 days or until your new card arrives. NoWcard will ask you to return your faulty card in order that they can investigate why the card failed.
Your card may have been hot listed and electronically 'switched off' for the following reasons:
The driver will retain your NoWcard and issue you with a slip as receipt. You will be required to pay full fare. You can call the NoWcard helpline if you think your card has been hot listed in error.
If your concessionary travel bus pass was issued by authorities in Scotland or Wales you are not entitled to a concession on local bus services in England.
